Manual harvest. Destemming followed by a cold maceration ('cold soak'). Subsequent wild-yeast fermentation accompanied by regular punch-downs of the grape skins. Then gentle pressing in a pneumatic press, with maturation for 15 months in used French oak barrels.
This Malbec has an intense dark-berry nose of blackcurrant, blackberry, blueberry, cherry and plum, complemented by vanilla and cedar with a slightly peppery note. The palate is nice and full, with good concentration without being overpowering. Perfectly integrated acidity gives the wine a harmonious, juicy mouthfeel, culminating in an intense, long finish.
Sourced from vines sitting 1,250 metres above sea level on soils mainly composed of sand with minor elements of limestone and gravel.
