Meticulous selection of hand-picked grapes. Cold maceration ('cold soak') followed by gentle pressing. Maturation for 12 months in oak barrels.
Medium ruby. Beautiful berry aromas on the nose. The palate has a gentle texture, delicate tannins and a wonderful reprise of fresh fruit (red berries and black cherry), married with subtle oak. A powerful Pinot Noir with an intense aromatic character.
The fruit for this Pinot Noir Alte Reben was sourced from 35- to 70-year-old vines that grow on soils comprised mainly of limestone and slate.
