Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Whole-cluster cold maceration (no destemming) followed by fermentation for around six weeks in old oak vessels underground in the cellar. Subsequent maturation in concrete tanks. No filtering or fining.
Deep ruby. Juicy and ripe aromas of blackberry and cassis on the nose, with pepper, tobacco and mediterranean herbs (rosemary, thyme). Full yet well structured on the palate, with ripe tannins. A very balanced, complex red wine with wonderful fruit and concentration.
The vines mainly grow on the clay slopes of Saint Martin, which are interspersed with limestone, marly limestone, and gravel.
