Mechanical pressing of hand-picked grapes. Maceration (skin contact) for 10 to 15 days, with subsequent maturation for 24 months in Slavonian oak and another 12 months in the bottle.
Intense ruby. Subtle ripe berries and leather on an expressive nose. Dried black cherry, ground pepper, and coffee unfold on the palate. Fine-grained tannins with a supple finish.
The Nebbiolo grapes for this Barolo come from the vineyards of La Morra. The vines are arount 35 years old and have a south/southwest exposure.
