This premium Riesling is the result of years of patience. Meticulous picking during the night ensured that the fruit retained optimum freshness. Fermentation and aging in steel tanks on the fine lees.
On the nose, this Riesling has very intense aromas of lemon, lime and white peach along with white blossom and stony mineral notes. The palate is dry, showing lots of grip and tension. Juicy, with good concentration and incredibly pure flavours leading into an intense, long finish. This is already a superb wine that will nevertheless reward further ageing.
Winegrowing is one of the mainstays of local life in Clare Valley, where it dates back to 1851. As one of Australia's most prestigious wine regions, Clare Valley is mainly known for its Riesling, Cabernet and Shiraz. Boasting a beautiful landscape of gentle hills as well as a Mediterranean climate offering just the right amount of winter rainfall, Clare Valley is a unique place that has played a singular role in the history of Australian wine. The grapes for the Florita were replanted in 1962 on five hectares and grow on the famous Terra Rossa soils and shallow clay soils.
