A quarter of the juice saw new oak, with 12 months spent in pièces followed by a further six months in stainless steel.
Flint and green apple on a firm nose. Saline, balanced, concentrated and very complex on the palate, with a minerally finish.
The Bachelet brothers farm 20 hectares of vineyard in Puligny-Montrachet, Santenay, Saint-Aubin, Meursault, Maranges and Dezize-lès-Maranges. Their Pinot Noir vines have an average age of 50 years, their Chardonnay vines an average age of 40 years.
