Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Gentle pressing followed by fermentation in vessels made of French oak (from the Forest of Nevers), with nine months on the lees. Blending one year after harvest, with a further six years of maturation in French oak barrels.
Rich lemon colour. Attractive, complex nose of ripe red apple, grapefruit, lime, orange blossom, honey, herbs, vanilla and fresh hay. The 2017 vintage of Musar Jeune White is expressive but still fresh on the palate despite having a few years under its belt. This wine has further potential. Long, assertive flavours on the finish, with honey, hints of oak, lots of citrus, caramelised apple, and basil.
Sourced from ungrafted, low-yielding vines situated in the foothills of the Anti-Lebanon Mountains. The Obaideh holdings sit on stony, chalky soils, while the Mehrwah vines grow on calcareous gravels.
