Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes were gently pressed. Fermentation and maturation for 8 months in barrique barrels (first- to third-use), with regular bâtonnage (lees stirring).
Straw-yellow colour. Complex on the nose, with apple, pear, citrus, fresh flowers and subtle barrel notes (vanilla and pastry). Dry on the palate with a pleasantly creamy mouthfeel and good balance between fresh and woody notes. This white Merlot is very long on the finish and will continue to develop in bottle for some years to come.
Sourced from vines that grow on a south-south-east-facing slope at altitudes of between 400 and 500 metres. The soils consist of granite and porphyry. Warmth reflects onto this terroir from Lake Lugano, allowing the grapes to reach optimum ripeness.
