Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes were gently pressed and then fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel. The wine then matured for 18 months in 350-litre oak barrels (first- and second-use), where it underwent malolactic fermentation as well as regular bâtonnage (lees stirring).
Straw-yellow colour, with a beautiful nose of flowers and apple with a hint of wood. This wine has exceptional presence on the palate, with fruit-forward notes and tremendous freshness and minerality. Elegant tannins and oak barrel maturation lend richness, power and substance.
Sourced from vines that grow on a south-south-east-facing slope at altitudes of between 300 and 450 metres. The soils consist of granite and porphyry. Warmth reflects onto this terroir from Lake Lugano, allowing the grapes to reach optimum ripeness.
