Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Gentle pressing followed by fermentation. Subsequent maturation, including malolactic fermentation, in large oak barrels (except Sauvignon Blanc). Blending after almost one year, then further maturation on the fine lees in stainless steel for three years.
Intense and complex on the nose, with yellow and white flowers, broom, lime, and citrus notes of mandarin and grapefruit. Fine, elegant and almost velvety on a palate underscored by a crisp backbone and a mineral, tangy structure. Persistent, with lovely acidity.
Sourced from selected south-south-west-facing vineyard sites in Appiano, where the soils consist of limestone gravel and moraine debris.
