Vinification in 350-litre oak vessels; 40 to 60% whole-bunch. After being bottled in magnums, the wine spent an additional 18 months at the winery.
This wonderful red wine has a delightful, elegant nose, with sweet berry, cherry, plum, spicy tobacco, herbs and a hint of noble wood. Full-bodied yet elegant on the palate. Very silky with pronounced fruit expression, juicy acidity, powerful but well-integrated tannins and a long-lasting finish.
The Stellibofel vineyard was planted from 1990 to 1992, encompassing only two hectares. Its upper section, comprising vines that were planted in 1992, provides the fruit for this highly individual, fine Pinot Noir that was bottled exclusively in magnums.
