Selectively picked grapes. Destemming and gentle crushing. A portion of the stems were included in the fermentation, which mostly took place in temperature-controlled stainless steel (with 10% of the juice fermenting in large oak). Following gentle pressing, the wine matured for 12 months in oak vessels, of which 20% were second-use Burgundian barrels.
Medium ruby. Violet, rose blossom, dark cherry and balsamic notes on the nose. Well structured on the palate, complemented by a backbone of tannins as well as by spicy and fruity aromas.
Sourced from the west-facing Turkey Flat vineyard near Bethany, with soils mainly consisting of loam and limestone.
