Late, selective manual harvest in November. Gentle pressing followed by a short settling of the juice and subsequent fermentation in large and small oak vessels to enhance terroir expression.
Pale lemon colour with a green hue. This Grüner Veltliner marries gravelly minerality and structure with the savoury, multilayered character of loam. Firm yet juicy, with fine spice, complexity and a hint of salinity.
Ried Sauberg (Sauberg literally means 'pig hill') is a picturesque plateau above the village of Poysdorf. Pigs used to roam around on this incline. Vines were first planted there at the beginning of the 1960s. The vineyard has the neighbouring Ried Bürsting for company. Its soils are quite gravelly.
