Gentle vinification, with wines transferred by gravity only and not even filtered in most cases. Wild-yeast fermentation without temperature control in 500-litre oak vessels, followed by a very long period on the lees (including bâtonnage).
Medium lemon-green. Exquisite yellow tropical fruit, pleasant herbal notes and delicate smoky aromas on the nose. Minerally, spicy aromas combine with subtle oak and yeast notes, underscoring an impression of finesse and individuality. With mature white fruit on the palate, this Grüner Veltliner is rare treat on account of its great structural finesse, fine sweet extract, lemony notes and slightly saline finish.
Sourced from vines that were planted up to 35 years ago on gravelly loess – ideal terrain for Grüner Veltliner.
