Hand-picked grapes. Fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel for 15 days, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine was transferred to American oak barrels in April of the following year, where it was then left to mature for four years. During this time, the wine was racked every six months via the traditional barrel-to-barrel method. The components were then blended together before being bottled.
Intense on the nose, with plum, blueberry, mushroom, toffee, tobacco, sweet spice and earthy notes. Full-bodied on the palate, with velvety, fine tannins and vibrant acidity. Balanced and rounded, with a creamy texture and a long, polished finish.
Sourced from Tempranillo vines in the municipalities of Briñas, Labastida and Villalba, and from Graciano vines in the Melchorón I and Melchorón II plots located in Briones and Rodezno. These vineyards were planted over 60 years ago.
