Higher altitudes mean thicker grape skins, hence maceration (skin contact) can continue for up to 40 days. Subsequent maturation for two years in small oak barrels.
Deep, nutty, floral nose of red and black berries, with a leathery, minerally characteristic. Pure, ripe fruit with succulent phenolics and notes of tobacco. Firm tannins and a juicy, spicy finish.
