Maturation for 18 to 20 months in 60% new and 40% used French oak.
Intense aromas on the nose, with dark forest fruit, plum, dried flowers, herbs, cocoa and fine spice notes. The palate is powerful with fine, almost velvety tannins and a persistent, spicy finish. Only 1,200 bottles of this Cabernet Franc were made.
Rimini's hilly hinterlands are mainly comprised of calcareous clay soils. The fruit for this wine was sourced from vines with an average age of 20 years, growing 150 metres above sea level.
