Meticulous sorting in the vineyard to first ensure that all the fruit is immaculate, and second, to forego the need for fining agents or any other treatments back at the winery. Whole bunch pressing and wild-yeast fermentation in stainless steel.
Pale green yellow. This off-dry Ortswein (village bottling) has a delicate nose of mandarin, citrus and green apple. The palate has that signature Saar crispness, with playful acidity and a discernible note of sweetness marrying harmoniously to form a delicious whole. Fresh finish with medium lenght.
Grey slate dominates the south-facing Niedermenniger Sonnenberg.
