Fermentation and maturation of the base wine in used, small oak barrels, then around eight years' maturation on the lees in bottle. Addition of the liqueur d'expédition (also known as the 'dosage'), followed by corking and subsequent release for sale.
Medium lemon. Pure, complex and minerally on the nose, with brioche and roasted nuts. This is a harmonious sparkling wine with an elegant mousse. The palate is fresh and structured, with an appealing texture, fine stone fruit characters and delicate roasted notes.
Made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes grown on loess, loam and red sandstone soils interspersed with various types of limestone.
