Selective manual harvest of overripe grapes. Gentle pressing followed by fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel. Long maturation on the fine lees to lend extra suppleness, texture and complexity.
Powerful, ripe nose with a lovely light, pure character. Attack of great finesse, with crystalline acidity. This Auslese is fresh and slightly salty on the finish.
The weathered Devonian slate terroir of this steeply sloping vineyard offers ideal conditions for growing grapes thanks to its south-south-westerly aspect and gradients of up to 70 degrees.
