Selective harvest followed by manual triage. Cold maceration ('cold soak') for 24 to 36 hours followed by a two-week fermentation. Subsequent maturation for 20 months in 100% first-use French oak, then bottle ageing for a minimum of eight months to add the finishing touches.

Nose of plum, cherry, black pepper, and dried flowers. Full-bodied, concentrated and structured on the palate, with ripe tannins. Superb length with typical Red Mountain character.

The Columbia Valley appellation is situated in the central and southern part of Washington State. It is the state's biggest AVA, covering one third of Washington's total area. The wines of Columbia Valley are known for combining the structure and finesse of the Old World with the appealing fruit expression and ripeness of the New World.
